Frequently Asked Questions
Scholarship Application
What does Full-scholarship mean?
It is a scholarship that covers tuition, accommodation and insurance fees, and provides a monthly living allowance (stipend).

When should I apply?
Applicants should apply for their chosen program at least two months before the starting date posted on the ICAE page. If you've missed the deadline for your chosen course, you can check with us at icae.hr@gmail for if the university may still have vacancies.

Can I apply to the university directly?
Yes. But, you are not advised to apply directly to the university. Applying directly to universities, you are on your own. With ICAE, however, you have a professional team to help you secure admission saving time–with low effort and cost.

How long does it take for the ICAE to deal with my application?
Once you have completed your application, it normally takes 4 to 8 weeks for ICAE to get your admission decision from a university’s admission office.

What should I do next if my application is accepted?
ICAE will email you the application status. If it’s “ACCEPTED”, it means the university is processing admission notice and JW 202 form for you. It takes about 1 to 6 weeks. ICAE will inform you to confirm the mailing address once received the admission package from the university.
In addition, you also need to do the following things:
-
Visa application. You need to apply for visa at your local Chinese Embassy.
-
Take physical examination. If your study duration is over 6 months, you need to take physical examination and get the report.
-
Buy air-ticket. ICAE might help you get discounted tickets.

How can I get my admission package?
Usually, it takes 10-20 days for ICAE to prepare and send the admission package with the documents that you will need to apply for a Chinese visa through DHL (free delivery). If you do not receive the package for more than 4 weeks, you can send an e-mail to icae2017@gmail.com to solve the problem. Please include your application ID in the e-mail.

What should I do next if my application is rejected?
Normally it’s unlikely for an application via ICAE to be rejected. Nevertheless, ICAE will email you the “REJECTED” application status which means the university doesn’t accept your application. ICAE advises you to consult ICAE counselor first to get professional advice before starting a new application.
